This ancient, mysterious civilization is often described as more advanced than our own—with higher technology, a cosmopolitan society, and a deep understanding of the power of crystals.

One of the most well-known American clairvoyants, Edgar Cayce—often called the “Sleeping Prophet”—spoke extensively about Atlantis during his trance readings. Over a span of 20 years, he referenced Atlantis more than 700 times, offering fascinating glimpses into a forgotten time.

Edgar Cayce’s Vision

According to Cayce, the Atlanteans harnessed powerful technologies far beyond what we know today. They used sound frequencies for healing, tapped into the energy of nature, and utilized crystals and silicon-based devices—what we might now compare to advanced computer chips—to mine gold, copper, and silver from the Earth. These innovations suggest a civilization whose knowledge we have yet to rediscover.

However, despite these advancements, Cayce saw Atlantis's downfall as rooted in spiritual decay. Two opposing groups emerged: the Sons of Belial, who sought to exploit natural resources for material gain, and another group committed to living in harmony with natural and spiritual laws.

The Sons of Belial also aimed to control what Cayce described as a third class of “sub-beings”—individuals they kept in ignorance and used for their own benefit. In contrast, the spiritual group sought to uplift and awaken these beings. This battle between exploitation and enlightenment led to the ultimate destruction of Atlantis.

Many spiritual teachers believe we are facing similar patterns in our world today. Some say only 20% of people are truly “awake,” while the rest are still sleepwalking through life—unaware of the deeper truths and repeating the cycles of the past.

Cayce believed that many souls in the Western world today lived past lives in Atlantis. He saw connections between their past-life experiences and the physical and emotional struggles they faced in the present. This karmic imprint—the energy of unresolved emotions and choices—can manifest as chronic health issues, mental fatigue, addiction, or a persistent feeling of emptiness.

In my own practice, I’ve seen how these patterns repeat across lifetimes. Regardless of who you were or when you lived or what you did, the emotional energy you carry follows you until it is acknowledged and healed. Whether you were a king, a servant or a peasant, it’s not the title that matters—it’s the feeling, the lesson, and the energy you bring forward.

Many of us are carrying the trauma of Atlantis today. We’ve been given another opportunity, thousands of years later, to face similar challenges and choose differently. But if we don’t rise to the occasion—as individuals and as a collective—we may miss this chance to evolve.
