Why Your Session Felt "Just Like You" (And Why That’s a Success)

Every client’s reaction is as unique as they are. In my QHHT practice, once in a while, I see a specific kind of frustration after a session. A client opens their eyes, looks at me, and says: "I think I didn't do it right. I was aware the whole time. I felt like I was just making it up. I already knew everything I said. I don't think I actually reached my Higher Self."

If you’ve felt this way, I want you to take a deep breath. I have a truth to share with you that your ego might not like, but your soul will recognize: You didn't fail. You just met yourself for the first time without the filters.

1. The "I’m Just Making It Up" Paradox

The most frequent doubt I hear is that the session felt like a feat of imagination rather than a divine revelation. Here is what we need to understand: The Higher Self uses your right brain—the creative, imaginative faculty—as its primary communication terminal.

When you are in the Theta state (the goal of QHHT), the line between "imagination" and "intuition" disappears. If you are waiting for a voice that doesn't sound like yours, you are waiting for a stranger. But the Higher Self isn't a stranger; it is the core of you. It uses your memories, your vocabulary, and your metaphors to speak. If it feels like "you," it’s because it is you—the version of you that isn't afraid.

2. The Ego’s Need for Control

The conscious mind (the Ego) is like a helicopter parent. It wants to stay awake to "monitor" the session to make sure you’re safe. When it realizes it can’t stop the process, it tries to discredit the experience instead. It whispers: "You're just saying this. This isn't real. You aren't deep enough."

If you were aware of the room, the sound of my voice, or your own thoughts during the session, that is perfectly normal. QHHT clients today are becoming more "multi-dimensional." You can have one foot in the office and one foot in a past life simultaneously. Awareness does not equal failure; it equals a bridge.

3. "I Already Knew That"

From time to time I hear, "I didn't get any new information. I already knew I needed to forgive my mother/change my job/eat better etc. ”

The Higher Self rarely brings "trivia." It brings alignment. You may have known these things with your intellect, but during the session, you were asked to feel them with your spirit. The goal of a session isn't to give you a secret lottery number; it’s to move a truth from your head to your heart so you can finally align with who you are and act on it.

4. Why You Didn't Get the "Show" You Expected

Many people come in expecting a 3D IMAX movie of a past life. Even if they say in the beginning that they are open and have no expectations, many still do—especially first-timers. When they get "impressions," "feelings," or a sense of "knowing" instead, they can feel cheated.

Your Higher Self gives you exactly what you need, not necessarily what you want. If you didn't see a dramatic past life as a king or a galactic traveler, it’s likely because the most important healing for you right now is found in the simplicity of your current life or a very subtle emotional shift. Often, it is not so important who you were, but how you felt. Emotion is the key to remembering and holding your future solution.

A Note to the Skeptical Mind

If you left your session feeling confused or like you "missed it," I invite you to do one thing: Listen to your recording.

When you are in the chair, your ego is judging every word. But when you listen back, you will hear a different "flavor" in your voice. As practitioners, we always notice this subtle change during a session. You will hear a flow, a lack of hesitation, and a depth of wisdom that your everyday mind simply doesn't possess.

The connection is always successful because the connection is never broken. You cannot "fail" to connect to something you are. The only thing preventing the connection is your belief that it has to look a certain way.

Let go of "how" or “should be”, stop grading your performance, and trust that the seeds planted during our time together are already beginning to grow. You did the work. Now, allow the healing to happen.

Love & Gratitude
